My Story: a lifetime of love for jewelry
When I was a young girl, I would go through my grandmother’s jewelry box every chance I got. And I would wait for her to take her clip-on earrings off when she answered the phone so I could grab them and wear them. In 8th grade English class, I vividly remember writing about my dream job - being a jeweler. When I got older I started buying and wearing fashion jewelry when I found a particularly awesome piece, but my dream of becoming a jeweler was not feasible until something clicked inside of me. I not only wanted to make jewelry, I needed to make jewelry.
My dream of making jewelry became a reality after a relationship break-up that led me to recognize that I needed to do something for myself, not for anyone else, to feel happy again. Whenever I needed help in the past, I relied on books, so I went to Barnes and Noble and started browsing books. I picked up one on hand stamped metal jewelry, and a light went off. With the book, I taught myself how to stamp metal and make jewelry. Working with a hammer to create designs on metal helped me lose myself in the moment, while harnessing my creativity and individuality. I grew passionate about designing jewelry and recently expanded to work with wire and beads.
My mission is to bring out the individuality and creativity in each of my customers, especially when you face a challenge. When you wear my jewelry, I want it to inspire these core values of my brand. Designing fashion jewelry improves my mental health and I want it to evoke the same in you when you wear it.
I started selling my jewelry on Etsy, and earned a 5-star rating selling 30 pieces. But now, I’m ready to do more with my jewelry, expand my collections, and share my values of individuality and creativity.
